In the past, if you wanted to send a parcel from the UK to the continent, or even to the other side of the world, it wasn’t cheap or easy.
You would need to take the parcel, no matter how heavy, to your local Post Office, and pay whatever they charge.
Nowadays though, with the growth of e-commerce and the increasing on-line presence of parcel resellers like Parcel2Ship, customers can shop around for the best prices, pick their preferred courier, and they can choose to have their parcels collected from their homes or work addresses or drop their parcel off at the local courier depot, and have their parcel delivered to almost anywhere in the world.
Our courier of choice for International Parcel Delivery and Worldwide Parcel Delivery are :-
We find these to be the most reliable for this type of service.
How do we do this?
When you come to our website www.parcel2ship.co.uk , you are met with a quick quote box.
Here you can type in the dimensions, weight and destination country of your parcel, and within 5 seconds you will receive competitive quotes for the services offered by Parcel2Ship using our preferred couriers. You are under no obligation to carry on, but if you are happy with the cost, you can select your preferred service which will give you details about the service and then go ahead and book. A delivery booking form will now appear.
Step 1: Enter the collection address.
You can just type the postcode and click on “Get Address”. This should call up address for the postcode entered. Don’t worry if the address is a new address as you can always enter the address manually. You will need to take out any commas or other “special” characters out of the address as the system only accepts letters and numbers. Please also ensure that you enter a phone number so that we can contact you if the carrier chosen cannot find the address given or has any other issues.
Step 2: Enter the delivery address.
You would need to enter the full postal address including the postcode in this section. You will need to take out any commas or other “special” characters out of the address as the system only accepts letters and numbers. Please also ensure that you enter a phone number so that we can contact the person at the destination address if the carrier’s partner cannot find the address given or has any other issues.
Step 3: Enter the package details.
Firstly you would enter the weight and dimensions of the parcel along with the description of the contents.
You would then need to enter the value of the contents of the parcel. Standard courier cover is £50 per parcel so if the value of the contents is above this we would recommend taking out Enhanced Compensation. For details of what type of goods are covered by Enhanced Compensation click here.
You would then need to state the reason for export. This can be personal items, sale, sample, repair, return or similar.
If there are any special instructions for collection then these can be entered here. After this all you would need to do is enter your preferred collection date. Please note that for same day collections you would need to order before 10.00 am in the morning.
Step 4: Enter additional option.
You would now enter the optional extra you would like for this service. Now all you need to do is click on the “add to cart” button.
You have the option now of repeating stages 1 to 4 for additional packages or you can move to Step 5 and check out.
Step 5: Check Out.
Initially, click on the “checkout” button on the top right of the page and a new box will appear. This is a summary of your order. If you need to remove any items, tick the box next to the item and click “Update”.
When you are happy with you selection click on “Checkout Now”.
A new box appears for you to enter the Invoice address details.
Enter in all of your details and ensure an email address is entered. This is important as the Invoice and Labels are emailed to you. You would need to Tick the “I accept the Terms and Conditions” box and then click on “Next“. This now takes you to a screen to confirm the details you entered and an option to select your payment method. Select your payment method, progress to payment and your order has been placed.
Once you have booked on-line for your parcel to be delivered, you simply have to print off your label(s) and wait for the courier to collect from the address you gave us. You can book a collection up to a week in advance and enter a work address instead, meaning the service is convenient for those who lead busy lives.
The on-line service we offer includes a tracking reference for your parcel. This tracking reference means you can follow your parcels progress right up until the point of delivery. If you see a problem, you can call Parcel2Ship’s support service, or talk to us on our on-line chat facility, and Parcel2Ship will get you all the answers you need.
